Creation and destruction.
To contrasting forces which can completely change the way we experience life. These two things are inevitable in life, but what is crucial is the balance between them. This is a documentation of the soothing, yet challenging nature of creation, backed by a stark contrast of unnerving sounds. This piece explores the idea of creation and destruction through the medium of painting, demonstrating the importance of making an effort to combat the negative energy in life with creativity. Art and other creative outlets have been proven time and again to be a highly effective emotional outlet, especially through times of struggle. In each instance that violent sounds can be heard throughout this work, sounds of frantic creation lead the way to a calm resolution. This is exactly what we must do in tough times, create something, make art, write in a journal, put a smile on someone’s face.
